FUTMinna APC Pilot Progress

Datasphir, as the infrastructure provider, is running a pilot project with the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMinna) Academic Publishing Committee (APC) to demonstrate the features of BookHub. Our aim is to help publishers create high-quality open access (OA) books using the BookHub platform, which integrates with the Ketty publishing tool. This project not only showcases how BookHub supports and enhances academic publishing but also aligns with the LIBSENSE Open Access Book Advocacy.

Current Progress:

Platform Testing: We are in the testing phase of the BookHub platform. Our team has successfully uploaded 5 books to the system, which are now accessible and ready for use.

Ongoing Book Migration: Our team is awaiting the migration of an ongoing book that is currently in production at FUTMinna. This step will ensure that the production process continues smoothly on the BookHub platform.

What’s Next:

Complete Migration: Once the ongoing book is migrated, we’ll continue to support and refine the platform based on feedback and usage.

Further Integration: We’ll work closely with FUTMinna to ensure that the platform meets their needs and enhances their ability to produce and distribute OA books effectively.
